How getting your card works
Oklahoma's process has two parts: a physician recommendation, then a state application. We handle the first and guide you through the second.
Sign up and book
Choose a time that works for you and answer a short health questionnaire. It takes about 3 minutes.
See your physician
Meet by video or phone for 10 to 15 minutes. If cannabis is medically appropriate, your physician signs your OMMA recommendation and emails it to you the same day.
Apply to OMMA
Upload your recommendation, proof of residency, ID and photo in the OMMA MedPortal within 30 days, and pay the state fee. We send a checklist and answer questions along the way.
How payment works
You shouldn't pay for a recommendation you don't receive. Here's exactly what happens to your card.
At signup: authorization hold
We ask your bank to hold $129 (or $99 for renewals). It confirms your card is valid and reserves your appointment. It may show as "pending," but it isn't a charge.
If you're approved: charged
Once your physician signs your recommendation, we capture the held amount. That's the only time money moves, and you'll get a receipt by email.
If you're not approved: released
We cancel the hold the same day. Most banks remove the pending amount within 3 to 7 business days. You pay nothing.
What you'll actually pay
Oklahoma cards involve two separate fees. We list both so there are no surprises.
| Item | Standard | Reduced state fee* |
|---|---|---|
| Physician evaluation, new card (to us) | $129.00 | $129.00 |
| OMMA application fee + card processing (to the state) | $104.30 | $22.50 |
| Total for a new two-year card | $233.30 | $151.50 |
*With proof of Medicaid (SoonerSelect) or Medicare enrollment, or 100% disabled veteran status. Renewals cost $99 with us plus the same state fee. That works out to about $4 a month for our part over the two-year life of your card. State fees are set by OMMA and can change; we check them at every content review. See the full cost breakdown.
Why patients choose us
Registered, compliant physicians
Every recommendation comes from an Oklahoma-licensed MD or DO who has completed OMMA-approved education and is registered under SB 1066, so your application isn't rejected on a technicality.
A real medical conversation
We review your medications for interactions, talk through dosing and product types, and flag situations where cannabis is a poor fit. You get guidance, not just a form.
Flat, transparent pricing
$129 for a new card, $99 to renew. No memberships, no upsells, no hidden fees, and the state fee is explained up front.
Help after the visit
A document checklist, step-by-step MedPortal instructions, and a real person to answer questions until your card arrives.
Renewal reminders
We'll remind you 45 days before your license expires so you can renew without a gap in legal protection.
Private and secure
HIPAA-compliant video and phone visits and records. We never sell your information or share it with dispensaries.
What to expect at your visit
Before
Have your Oklahoma driver's license or ID, a list of your medications, and any records you'd like to share. Find a private spot with a stable connection, and good light if you're joining by video.
During
Your physician verifies your identity, reviews your history and symptoms, asks what you've tried, and screens for risks and drug interactions. Bring your questions about products, dosing or side effects.
After
If approved, you'll receive your signed Adult Patient Physician Recommendation Form by secure email, usually within the hour, along with your OMMA application checklist.
Conditions our physicians evaluate
Oklahoma has no fixed list. These are the conditions we see most often; if yours isn't here, you can still be evaluated.
Serving patients across Oklahoma
Because visits are by secure video or phone, we see patients in every Oklahoma county, from the Panhandle to Green Country.
Common questions
Does Oklahoma have a list of qualifying conditions?
No. State Question 788 did not create a list of qualifying conditions. An OMMA-registered physician decides whether medical marijuana is appropriate for you, using accepted standards of medical care. Chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, migraines and PTSD are among the conditions we evaluate most often.
When will my card be charged?
When you sign up, we place a temporary authorization hold for the evaluation fee ($129 new, $99 renewal). That's not a charge. We only capture the payment after your physician approves and signs your recommendation. If you're not approved, we release the hold and you pay nothing.
What is the total cost of an Oklahoma medical marijuana card?
Our physician evaluation is $129 for a new card or $99 for a renewal. The state application fee is separate and paid directly to OMMA: $100 plus a $4.30 card processing fee, or $20 plus $2.50 if you are enrolled in Medicaid (SoonerSelect) or Medicare, or are a veteran with 100% disability status.
Can I get evaluated online?
Yes. Evaluations are done by secure video or phone with an Oklahoma-licensed, OMMA-registered physician. For video, use a phone, tablet or computer with a camera; for a phone visit, any phone works. Either way, find a private place to talk. You must be an Oklahoma resident to apply for a standard adult or minor patient license.
How long does it take to get my card?
Most visits take 10 to 15 minutes, and approved patients usually receive their signed recommendation the same day. State law requires OMMA to process complete patient applications within 14 business days. Once approved, you can often use your OMMA approval email with a photo ID at dispensaries while your card is mailed.
Do I need medical records?
Records aren't required, but they help. Imaging reports, specialist notes, prescription history or a recent visit summary give your physician a fuller picture, especially for complex or less common conditions.
Are your physicians registered with OMMA?
Yes. Since January 1, 2026, Senate Bill 1066 requires every recommending physician to complete approved medical marijuana education and register with OMMA. Recommendations from unregistered physicians are rejected. Every physician who sees patients through our clinic is registered.
Can you help me with the OMMA application itself?
Yes. After your visit we send a checklist of the documents OMMA requires and step-by-step instructions for the MedPortal. If you get stuck, our patient support team can walk you through it by email. We can't submit the application on your behalf, because OMMA requires you to create your own account.
Can a caregiver apply on someone's behalf?
A caregiver can hold their own license to buy, transport and help administer medical marijuana for a homebound patient or a minor, but the patient still needs their own evaluation and license. Your physician indicates on the recommendation form if you medically need a caregiver.
